The Way Backs
The Way Backs at Rotary Fest in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, July 20th at 7:15pm
The Way Backs is a country band.
We focus on events, festivals, and shows with music at the center of it all. From our first and very successful Hurt: A Tribute to the Legend, Johnny Cash, we have began to branch out and work with communities to bring a new level of entertainment.
Where We Started
The original core group worked on the theatrical show, the Million Dollar Quartet with the West End Theater Project. Jeffrey Wright auditioned for the role of Johnny Cash and met the rest of the team that would make The Way Backs.
Meet the Original Four!
Jaime Jacques
A graduate of the Sault College and Lakehead University Forestry programs and holds numerous professional certificates, including a designation as a Registered Professional Forester. Jaime has been playing drums for 15 years, and has written, composed and recorded music featured on CBC Radio programming. When Jaime is not working in the woods or spending time with his wife Sarah, you may find him restoring vintage drums and providing drums for several local bands around town.
Liam Seymour
An established musician, singer, and songwriter. Liam is a university-trained musician with a great passion for the guitar. His well earned talent has put him on stages all over Sault Ste. Marie and area. Liam is a part of many bands around Sault Ste. Marie and plays often, bringing his passion to everyone who listens.
Marshall Jaaskelainen
A musician sired by musician who can trace his lineage back beyond Mozart. His musical talents captivate and liberate his audience. A true virtuoso, he has amazed multitudes across the globe. He creates a sound so beautiful it can entice Angels back to earth. A true master bassist – the one, the only, Marshall Jaaskelainen.
Jeffrey Wright
A husband and a father of two, Jeffrey Wright is a local artist and man of many talents. He enjoys painting, writing, singing and playing guitar.
